Job Summary
To support a growing health insurance carrier, the full-time Texas Licensed Regulatory Compliance Director will build and scale the compliance function, manage multi-state expansion and licensing, oversee regulatory filings, and serve as the primary liaison with state insurance departments, all while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the regulatory workstream for entry into new states, including licensing and filing requirements
- Own SERFF submissions for rate and form filings, ensuring compliance with state regulations
- Design and implement compliance policies and monitoring programs to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees such as JD or MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in health insurance regulatory compliance at a fully insured commercial carrier
- Hands-on experience with state DOI rate/form filings and SERFF
- Strong knowledge of state insurance codes and federal regulations applicable to health coverage
- Experience managing regulatory examinations and market conduct exams
