Texas Licensed Reporter

Job Summary

To support a growing media company, a full-time Texas Licensed Reporter will write several original web stories per week and produce in-depth features for the website and monthly magazine, requiring a presence in Dallas or the DFW metro area.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute three to six original articles weekly focused on real estate and related topics
• Produce a longer feature story (1,000 to 2,000 words) for the monthly national print magazine
• Collaborate on special reporting projects, including investigative work and deeply researched features

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated writing, interviewing, and reporting skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Capacity to develop expertise in real estate and related coverage areas
• Ability to analyze information from various sources to enhance storytelling
• Understanding of journalistic standards, ethics, and protocols
• Business writing experience is preferred
