Job Summary
Managing a large portfolio of sponsored projects, the full-time Texas Licensed Research Accounting Supervisor will supervise a team of research accountants, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial support for grants while fostering professional development within the team, all in a remote work environment within Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Manages a personal portfolio of sponsored awards, providing full post-award financial support including billing and reporting
- Supervises a team of research accountants, offering guidance, performance feedback, and professional development support
- Acts as a subject matter expert for complex financial or compliance issues and facilitates communication regarding grant-related policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Four years of experience in research administration, sponsored programs, or grants accounting
- Prior people management experience, including supervising or mentoring staff
- Strong working knowledge of Uniform Guidance and federal sponsor requirements
- Proficiency with grant management and financial systems, along with advanced Excel skills
