Job Summary

To support student wellness, the full-time Texas Licensed School Counselor will build mental health support from the ground up, providing crisis response, ongoing support plans, and short-term counseling remotely for students across Texas.

Key responsibilities
  • Serve as the clinical escalation point for mental health crises, conducting risk assessments and coordinating with relevant authorities
  • Own and manage ongoing support plans for students following crises, ensuring consistent check-ins and accommodations
  • Provide brief, solution-focused counseling and refer students to community providers for ongoing therapy as needed
Required qualifications
  • Full, independent Texas clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or licensed psychologist)
  • Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with children and adolescents
  • Experience in crisis intervention, including risk assessment and safety planning
  • Proficiency in trauma-informed practices and telehealth delivery
