Job Summary
To support student wellness, the full-time Texas Licensed School Counselor will build mental health support from the ground up, providing crisis response, ongoing support plans, and short-term counseling remotely for students across Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the clinical escalation point for mental health crises, conducting risk assessments and coordinating with relevant authorities
- Own and manage ongoing support plans for students following crises, ensuring consistent check-ins and accommodations
- Provide brief, solution-focused counseling and refer students to community providers for ongoing therapy as needed
Required qualifications
- Full, independent Texas clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or licensed psychologist)
- Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with children and adolescents
- Experience in crisis intervention, including risk assessment and safety planning
- Proficiency in trauma-informed practices and telehealth delivery
