Job Summary
To support educational assessment efforts, the part-time Texas Licensed Scoring Associate will evaluate test responses from teacher candidates in subjects such as English Language Arts & Reading and Bilingual Target Language Proficiency, working remotely from Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate responses to test questions by Texas teacher candidates
- Internalize scoring standards and engage in consensus scoring activities with other scorers
- Recognize and address various types of bias to ensure fair scoring practices
Required qualifications
- At least three years of teaching experience in the relevant subject in Texas
- Experience teaching in a Texas classroom within the past three years
- Current residency in Texas
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate or EPP faculty status in the relevant subject area
