Texas Licensed Senior Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accruals, prepayments, and journal entries during month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts related to agency bill and direct bill for accuracy
• Perform independent analysis of financial data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• CPA or CMA certification (preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the insurance industry
• Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas
