Texas Licensed Senior Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Accountant to support a diverse portfolio of affordable residential properties and tax credit assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting activities, cash management, and review of accounts receivable and payable for assigned properties
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assist with financial reporting and analysis
• Collaborate with the Controller and Asset Managers on cash flow forecasting and prepare supporting work papers for financial statements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline
• 2+ years of real estate accounting experience, preferably at the residential property level
• CPA Certification is highly preferred
• Knowledge of JD Edwards, RealPage, Yardi, or similar property management software is a plus
• Experience with federal and local housing agency reporting
