Texas Licensed Senior Accountant
Job Summary
Supporting full-cycle and operational accounting remotely, the Texas Licensed Senior Accountant in Merchandise Accounting will manage month-end close processes, conduct variance analysis, and ensure inventory accuracy while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end close, including account reconciliations and inventory-related journal entries
- Analyze inventory aging, cost variances, and operational discrepancies to provide actionable insights
- Document and maintain processes and controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and CPA license required
- 5+ years of accounting or relevant experience
- Experience with analysis and reconciliation of complex accounts
- Working knowledge of an ERP system required, preferably PeopleSoft
- Thorough understanding of accounting rules under US GAAP, with knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
