Job Summary
To support the development of an internal audit department, a fully remote contract Texas Licensed Senior Auditor will supervise and mentor staff auditors, develop complex audit procedures, and ensure high-quality deliverables while managing relationships across various levels of management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple and complex audits/projects, including scope, resources, and reporting to management
- Develop Internal Audit/SOX project-level strategies and risk assessments while analytically reviewing critical business processes
- Prepare high-quality draft audit reports and present conclusions and recommendations to management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum three years of related experience, with at least two years at a Big 4 accounting firm preferred
- Hands-on knowledge of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or candidate preferred; CIA or CISA certification is a plus
- Experience with Workday or similar ERP systems and intermediate-to-advanced skills in Microsoft Office
