Texas Licensed Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing renewable energy startup, the full-time Texas Licensed Senior Electrical Engineer will manage electrical design and delivery for grid connection works, utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and data center power infrastructure in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver electrical designs while ensuring compliance with safety and Australian standards
• Oversee the commissioning, testing, and energization of high-voltage infrastructure
• Review and challenge designs from consultants and subcontractors to ensure quality and adherence to regulations

Required qualifications

• 5-10+ years of electrical engineering experience in power, utilities, renewables, or critical infrastructure, with substantial HV experience preferred
• Proven ability to produce and own electrical designs, not just review others' work
• Strong infrastructure delivery experience in utility-scale solar, BESS, or grid-connected assets
• Deep understanding of electrical systems, substations, protection, and power distribution design
• Familiarity with Australian grid standards, including AEMO technical requirements and the National Electricity Rules
