Texas Licensed Senior Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist who will be a subject matter expert in payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll and maintain payroll-related accounts, ensuring reconciliation and accuracy
• Assist team members with labor issues, verify new hire paperwork, and maintain compliance with employment laws
• Input garnishments, handle inquiries from agencies, and maintain knowledge of government contract requirements

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of California employment laws and payroll practices
• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced degree is a plus
• Minimum of seven years of payroll experience required
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
• Advanced working knowledge of payroll systems and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
