Texas Licensed SIU Investigator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a SIU Investigator to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and conduct investigations into suspected fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) with high autonomy
• Document findings through formal investigative reports and maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Monitor providers with substantiated findings and participate in the development of FWA-related education

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of healthcare fraud investigation experience or professional investigation experience with law enforcement
• 3+ years of experience with applicable fraud statutes, regulations, and federal guidelines on recoupments
• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field (preferred)
• Experience with HIPAA, data privacy, and/or data security processes (preferred)
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) (preferred)
