Job Summary
Delivering engaging virtual instruction, the full-time Texas Licensed Social Studies Teacher for grades 6-8 will develop curriculum, facilitate live lessons, and foster a positive online learning environment while supporting student academic growth in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and adapt social studies curriculum materials aligned to Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for grades 6-8
- Deliver interactive live virtual lessons using various instructional strategies and foster student engagement
- Design and evaluate assessments to measure student understanding and provide timely feedback to support growth
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, History, Social Studies, or a related field required
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with Social Studies (6-8) endorsement required
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant role or industry, preferably in a remote environment
- Strong knowledge of social studies content for grades 6-8, including history, geography, civics, and economics
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite in a professional or academic setting
