Job Summary
To support K-12 students with disabilities, the part-time Texas Licensed Teacher of Visual Impairments will deliver specialized virtual instruction aligned with IEPs, implement evidence-based strategies, and provide case management while working remotely on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver specialized virtual instruction to K-12 students with disabilities in alignment with their IEPs
- Implement and adapt evidence-based instructional strategies for diverse learning profiles
- Provide case management and support the facilitation of IEPs, including tracking student progress and completing required documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree minimum; Master's degree preferred
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Completion of TVI-specific coursework/training
- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance
- Minimum one year of classroom-based special education experience
