Job Summary
Providing independent oversight and risk alignment, the full-time Texas Licensed Technology Risk Manager will assess and challenge first-line technology risk practices, monitor adherence to risk appetite, and support governance reporting in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and challenge first-line technology risk practices, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and frameworks
- Provide targeted oversight and thematic reviews of technology risk areas, identifying gaps in risk coverage and control effectiveness
- Engage in governance forums and draft technology risk reports for executive management and the Board, highlighting emerging risks and remediation status
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technology, business, or a related field
- A minimum of seven years of technology or technology risk experience
- At least three years of experience in IT Risk & Governance or 2nd line/ERM oversight
- Experience in providing independent challenge in risk management contexts
- Advanced degrees or certifications in IT/ITIL, CRISC, CISM, or CISSP are a plus
