Job Summary
To support a growing telehealth initiative, the full-time Texas Licensed Telehealth APP will provide virtual care to patients in the 911/EMS system, performing triage, assessments, and prescribing medications while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide virtual care and triage to patients seeking emergency services, directing them to appropriate care options
- Collaborate with Navigators, nurses, and EM physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care and escalate cases as necessary
- Document assessments and care plans, addressing barriers to care and ensuring patient follow-up
Required qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner (MSN/DNP, national certification as FNP, AGACNP, or ENP) or Physician Assistant (MPAS/equivalent, NCCPA certified)
- Minimum five years of post-training clinical practice, ideally with substantial experience in a high-acuity emergency department
- Active, unencumbered license in Texas, Georgia, or Florida, with willingness to obtain additional state licensure
- Active DEA registration
- Reliable access to internet bandwidth and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace for video consultations
