Job Summary
Providing high-quality medical nutrition therapy and weight management education, the part-time Texas Licensed Telehealth Dietitian will assess nutritional needs, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborates with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to establish goals and conduct assessments for patients' nutrition care
- Documents nutrition care plans and provides tailored medical nutrition therapy and education to patients and families
- Promotes professional development and supports department goals through mentoring and continuing education
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition or related area; Master's required if registration obtained after Jan 1, 2024
- Registered with the ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- CPR Certification (Heart Saver) from American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or obtained within six months of hire
- Completion of a qualified professional experience required for the registered dietitian exam
- Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and effective communication skills
