Championing the defense for the company, the full-time Texas Licensed Trial Attorney will handle property damage lawsuits, manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation, and provide counsel to business clients while working remotely from Houston, Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including discovery, depositions, and courtroom advocacy
- Gather and organize legal documents, evidence, and conduct legal research for cases
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar
- Successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis
- Demonstrated ability to manage legal documents and understand the discovery process
- Must be within commuting distance to courthouses in the greater Houston area
- Willingness to obtain Southern District of Texas federal licensure as soon as practical
