Texas Licensed Underwriter

Job Summary

Evaluating insurance risks and making coverage decisions, the full-time Texas Licensed Underwriter will review applications, communicate with agents, and provide exceptional customer service while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process new applications, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and inspections to determine eligibility and insurability
• Serve as the primary contact for agents, assisting with coverage inquiries and policy transactions
• Support additional duties, including training and project work as needed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Three (3) years of underwriting experience in the insurance industry
• Strong knowledge of insurance rules, regulations, and underwriting principles
• Experience with commercial lines underwriting is highly preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
