Job Summary

To support a growing team in commercial real estate, the full-time Texas Licensed Underwriting Counsel will provide underwriting support and counsel related to real estate title insurance commitments and policies, utilizing established guidelines and collaborating with company personnel and customers in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization for title insurance commitments and policies
  • Utilize underwriting standards to underwrite the issuance of title insurance within delegated authority limits
  • Guide company personnel in real estate settlement services and issue underwriting standards in accordance with company processes
Required qualifications
  • 5-7 years of title underwriting experience, with a preference for commercial experience
  • Law Degree required and must be admitted to practice law in the state of employment
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing
  • Strong understanding of real estate law and the title and settlement process
  • Demonstrated analytical rigor and business acumen
