Texas Licensed Utilization Review Clinician
Job Summary
To support mental health and substance abuse services, the full-time Texas Licensed Utilization Review Clinician will perform clinical reviews, assess care appropriateness, and conduct prior authorization reviews in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness
- Conduct prior authorization and concurrent reviews related to behavioral health services
- Provide education to providers, members, and families regarding the behavioral health utilization process
Required qualifications
- Master's degree for behavioral health clinicians or a graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current Texas licensure as LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN
- 2-4 years of related experience in behavioral health
- Clinical knowledge of treatment plans related to mental health and substance abuse
- Experience working with healthcare teams to review care services
