Texas Licensed Utilization Review Clinician
Job Summary
To support a growing medical management team, the full-time Texas Licensed Utilization Review Clinician will perform clinical reviews and assessments related to mental health and substance abuse, ensuring the appropriateness of care and services in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate members' treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness of care
- Conduct prior authorization reviews and concurrent reviews for behavioral health inpatient services
- Engage with healthcare providers and leadership to enhance the quality and efficiency of care
Required qualifications
- Master's degree for behavioral health clinicians required
- Texas licensure as LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN required
- 2 - 4 years of related experience in mental health and substance abuse
- Clinical knowledge of treatment plans related to mental health and substance abuse preferred
- Experience collaborating with healthcare teams on care services review preferred
