Texas Licensed Wind Technician

Job Summary

To maintain optimal function and output at wind sites, the full-time Texas Licensed Wind Technician will perform daily turbine operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a remote environment while collaborating with site leadership to meet contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities:

• Execute maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment on wind turbines
• Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures
• Coordinate with the Site Lead and Manager to ensure alignment with contract requirements and timelines

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience as a Wind Technician or Wind Mechanic, or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment
• Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet and handle repetitive weights of approximately 50 lbs
• Understanding of electrical schematic drawings and technical manuals
