Job Summary
To maintain optimal function and output at wind sites, the full-time Texas Licensed Wind Technician will perform daily turbine operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a remote environment while collaborating with site leadership to meet contractual obligations.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment on wind turbines
- Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures
- Coordinate with the Site Lead and Manager to ensure alignment with contract requirements and timelines
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience as a Wind Technician or Wind Mechanic, or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy
- Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment
- Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet and handle repetitive weights of approximately 50 lbs
- Understanding of electrical schematic drawings and technical manuals
