Job Summary
To maintain optimal function at wind sites, the full-time Texas Licensed Wind Technician will perform maintenance, troubleshoot turbine operations, and collaborate with site leadership, primarily working onsite in the Amarillo, TX area.
Key responsibilities
- Execute contractual obligations related to electrical and mechanical equipment of wind turbine generators
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Document all work performed and communicate with GE's remote operations center as necessary
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 1+ years of experience as a Wind Technician or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy
- Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in various environments and flexibility for rotating shifts and on-call needs
