Job Summary
Managing a caseload of 150 complex workers' compensation claims, the full-time Texas Licensed Workers' Compensation Examiner will handle claims from inception to conclusion, ensuring compliance with state laws and company guidelines in a fully remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct timely investigations and determine compensability of claims while administering benefits
- Manage medical treatment and billing, authorizing as appropriate, and communicate with claimants and providers regarding claims issues
- Set reserves, finalize claims, and maintain accurate documentation of case status and actions taken
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Three or more years of related experience in workers' compensation claims handling
- Texas Workers Compensation License
- Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology
- Proficiency in Word and Excel (preferred)
