Job Summary
Serving as the primary contact for assigned clients, the full-time remote Texas Payroll Specialist will manage multi-state payroll processing, ensure accuracy in payroll records, and provide customer service support for payroll-related inquiries.
Key responsibilities
- Processes multi-state payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payroll schedules while maintaining payroll-related accounts
- Handles payroll transactions, including salary changes, deductions, and terminations, while resolving client payroll issues
- Collects and processes new hire paperwork and maintains compliance documents such as W-4 and I-9 for client employees
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree is a plus
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in payroll processing, including garnishments and W-2 maintenance
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
- Bilingual skills are preferred
- Working knowledge of payroll database systems and time clock systems
