Texas Referral Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral Coordinator to manage patient referrals and authorizations in a remote setting for Texas residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and complete assigned patient referrals while meeting production requirements
• Obtain authorizations for specialist referrals and schedule appointments as needed
• Communicate with stakeholders, including payors, employers, and patients, to ensure a positive patient experience

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate Degree preferred
• At least one year of experience in a medical environment, particularly in service delivery related to referrals, claims, or insurance
• Experience with Worker's Compensation is preferred
• Proficiency in scheduling and insurance verification software
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies
