Job Summary
To support trauma data management, the part-time Supplemental Trauma Registrar will maintain the Trauma Registry by abstracting data, coding using ICD-10 and AIS, and ensuring data accuracy, all while working remotely from Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Analyzes and reviews patient medical records, abstracts data, and codes information into the trauma registry
- Assists with the collection of registry data for performance improvement and project initiatives
- Ensures timely data abstraction and adherence to deadlines set by the Trauma Service Line
Required qualifications
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Preferred experience with ICD-10 and AIS coding
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Relevant healthcare or coding work experience will be considered
