Job Summary

To support a fully remote team, the full-time Texas Workers' Compensation Specialist will manage the verification of injury claims, audit medical records for billing accuracy, and serve as the primary contact for adjustors and case managers.

Key responsibilities
  • Verify new and established workers' compensation injuries and claims through communication with adjustors
  • Audit appointments and prepare claims documentation for timely filing and follow-up on unpaid claims
  • Advise physicians on dispute cases and facilitate their understanding of ODG guidelines
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three years of medical office experience in workers' compensation billing
  • Knowledge of Texas Workers' Compensation ODG treatment, return to work, and fee guidelines
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
