Theology Librarian

Job Summary

Seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Theology Librarian, the full-time position will manage library instruction, research assistance, and resource management while serving as a liaison to the theology and religious studies department in a flexible work environment that allows for some remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and deliver programs of library instruction and scholarly outreach to support faculty and student scholarship
• Select, assess, and deselect subject collections to meet research and curricular needs
• Participate in collaborative reference and research support, leading or coordinating services and initiatives within the library

Required qualifications

• MLS or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited institution, or an advanced degree in a relevant discipline
• Demonstrated interest in building relationships with diverse user communities
• Experience in providing research/project consulting in theology or related areas
• Clear understanding of discipline-specific research and scholarly communication practices
• Ability to design and implement effective training modules and tools
