Job Summary
To support the development of active thermal control systems for extra-terrestrial rovers, the full-time Staff Thermal Control Systems Engineer will design, analyze, and validate vehicle thermal control systems while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Define thermal control system requirements and design vehicle thermal control systems
- Build simulation and modeling tools for thermal control system analysis and tuning
- Develop control system documentation and support calibration of thermal control system sensors
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field
- 10+ years of experience in space vehicle thermal control system analysis, design, and validation
- Experience building and validating thermal control systems simulation and analysis tools
- Strong proficiency with thermal modeling and control system design tools
- Experience working with limited thermal system observability and sizing thermal control systems
