Job Summary

In a remote contract role, a Thermal Hydraulic Software Engineer will support computational thermal-hydraulic analysis of nuclear reactor cores, focusing on software development and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thermal hydraulic analysis and engineering calculations of nuclear reactor core components
• Refine core assembly designs and evaluate their thermal-hydraulic behavior
• Develop and maintain nuclear thermal-hydraulic software using Python and C++

Required qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Nuclear, or relevant engineering fields
• 6+ years of experience with a B.S. degree, or 3+ years with an M.S. or Ph.D. in thermal-hydraulic analysis
• Strong background in nuclear thermal-hydraulics, flow distribution, and heat transfer evaluation
• Expertise in Python programming for software development and modeling
• Proficiency in C++ programming language is a plus
