Thermal Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Thermal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and optimization of high-temperature airflow and thermal control products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and refine damper and expansion joint designs using CAD with a focus on high-temperature performance
• Apply CFD and FEA modeling to predict thermal behavior and material fatigue under high heat loads
• Oversee prototype builds and develop testing protocols to verify mechanical strength and thermal resistance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
• Proven experience or strong academic exposure in thermal analysis, heat transfer, and mechanical design
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar simulation/design tools
• Understanding of creep, thermal expansion, and stress analysis in high-temperature applications
• Experience with metal fabrication, refractory materials, or industrial HVAC/flow control systems preferred
