Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Third Party Liability Claims Representative will manage a portfolio of accounts related to accidents, focusing on obtaining accident details and insurance information from patients and other sources while ensuring timely payment from insurance carriers.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a queue of Third Party Liability accounts and work an average of 60 unique accounts per day
- Contact hospital patients to gather necessary accident details and insurance information, providing support throughout the process
- Submit hospital bills to insurance companies and maintain communication with insurance adjusters and personal injury attorneys during claims adjudication
Required qualifications
- Minimum one-year experience working with hospital revenue cycle processes preferred
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations governing collection practices, including HIPAA and FDCPA
- Intermediate proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong commitment to customer service with high levels of empathy and understanding
- Dependable individual with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
