Threat Detection Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Threat Detection Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the threat landscape and perform threat hunting exercises
• Conduct data and detection gap analysis to develop and refine alerting logic
• Analyze large volumes of real-time security data using innovative tools and technologies

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a general-purpose programming language such as Python, Java, Kotlin, Scala, or JavaScript
• Experience in developing, securing, and monitoring applications in public cloud environments
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Splunk and Elasticsearch
• Understanding of containerized applications and associated security challenges
