Threat Detection Engineer
Job Summary
As a full-time Threat Detection Engineer, the successful candidate will apply their expertise in incident response, collaborate with security teams, and drive cyber incident management while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of incident response concepts to manage and escalate cyber incidents effectively
- Analyze threat intelligence and identify new detection opportunities, creating playbooks to mitigate risks
- Document incidents from detection to resolution and report on the overall health of the Security Operations Center (SOC)
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in cyber incident response or a similar cybersecurity role
- Proficiency with security concepts, SOAR, EDR, NDR, and SIEM technologies
- Experience with multiple Cloud Service Providers such as AWS and GCP
- Ability to perform on-call duties as required
