Job Summary

Providing critical escalation support, the full-time Tier 2 IT Support Specialist will manage technical issues related to hardware, software, and networking for USDA employees, ensuring timely resolution both remotely and onsite.

Key responsibilities
  • Respond to escalated tickets and troubleshoot issues related to VPN connectivity, password resets, and desktop software
  • Provide onsite and remote support for hardware/software issues, including installations and upgrades
  • Assist with user account management and maintain inventory accuracy for hardware assets
Required qualifications
  • Strong technical skills in hardware/software troubleshooting
  • Experience with VPN, networking, and operating system upgrades
  • Proficiency in account management and software deployment
  • Familiarity with telecommunications systems (VTC, VoIP, WITS)
  • Knowledge of asset and configuration management practices
