Tier 2 SOC Analyst

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Tier 2 SOC Analyst with experience in AI tools, the full-time remote position will manage client detection strategies, organize alerts, and lead analysis for security remediation efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Create and document internal alert strategies and processes for identifying and prioritizing alerting opportunities
• Review and tune noisy alerts to reduce alert fatigue and assess alerts that haven't triggered for logic improvements
• Coordinate with the MDR Provider's Detection team and Incident Responders to analyze alert feedback loops and contribute to the homegrown Signal to Noise ratio detection metric

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of Security Operations or equivalent experience
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools
• Proficiency in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools
• Experience mapping detections to common frameworks and risk reduction models
• Familiarity with the latest trends in attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
