Tier 3 Engineer

Job Summary

To support production services, the remote Tier 3 Engineer will manage testing, analysis, and restoration of IT services while providing technical support to Tier 2 Engineers and ensuring service performance meets SLAs on a 1-year W2 contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Resolving service-impacting events and incidents while monitoring ongoing IT service infrastructure performance
• Escalating incidents to Operations Management and engaging with the Computer Security Incident Response Team as necessary
• Teaching and mentoring Tier 2 Network Engineers, acting as a subject matter expert in the process

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role with Data Center expertise, particularly in Cisco Nexus platforms
• Minimum of three years' experience with network administration tools and server administration on Windows, UNIX, or LINUX
• VMware Certification: VCP6+-DCV or VCP6+-CMA
• Experience with Arista networks, BGP, Routing, and Switching, along with Cisco CCIE DC or equivalent experience
