Job Summary
Ensuring peak performance of network, data, video, voice, and application environments, the full-time remote Tier II Network Engineer will monitor and troubleshoot incidents, coordinate service installations, and manage exceptions while working independently in a secure environment.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor the production network environment using various tools to ensure availability and performance
- Troubleshoot issues remotely with customers and technicians, escalating problems as necessary
- Coordinate onsite dispatch of telecommunication vendor repair services and perform periodic health checks of systems
Required qualifications
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and ISP
- Experience with routers and network protocols (Cisco), specifically OSPF and BGP
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT Operations, including network and server monitoring
- Experience with diagnostic tools such as SolarWinds and Nagios
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Help Desk or high-volume call center environment
