Title Examiner - MI Licensed

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time remote Title Examiner - MI Licensed will examine title orders, research title plant software, and provide title opinions while maintaining productivity and compliance with company guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Examine title orders to determine title conditions and insurability based on various legal documents
• Research and analyze pertinent record documents to establish ownership and legal descriptions
• Prepare accurate title commitments and communicate title defects and solutions to customers and management

Required qualifications

• Minimum of four years of industry experience, including preparation of title commitments
• Prior experience examining titles in the states of MI, OH, IL, IN, and KY
• Knowledge of underwriting policies and real estate law
• Familiarity with title searching software, such as Ingenuity and County websites
• High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training in relevant software is desirable
