Title Examiner - MI Licensed

Job Summary

To support a growing title examination team, the full-time remote Title Examiner - MI Licensed will abstract and examine public records, provide title opinions, and ensure clear titles while maintaining productivity and compliance with company guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Examine title orders to assess conditions of title and insurability based on various documents
• Research title plant software and analyze record documents to determine ownership and legal descriptions
• Prepare accurate title commitments and address title defects with curative solutions

Required qualifications

• Minimum of four years of industry experience, including title commitment preparation
• Prior examination experience in MI, OH, IL, IN, or KY
• Knowledge of underwriting policies and real estate law
• Familiarity with title searching software, such as Ingenuity
• High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training in relevant software is desirable
