Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Top Secret Orbital Analyst, the full-time position involves monitoring and analyzing the position and velocity of artificial objects in Earth orbit or deep space, calculating orbital parameters, predicting close approaches, and recommending avoidance maneuvers while collaborating with mission teams remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor and analyze spacecraft and satellite trajectories, ensuring mission success through trajectory design and optimization
- Perform collision avoidance analysis and develop mitigation strategies while maintaining space catalogs and generating detailed reports on conjunction events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to specify, architect, and integrate complex system solutions while managing technical risks and supporting development milestone reviews
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (Master's + 3 years experience also acceptable)
- Typically 5+ years of related experience or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience
- Emerging expertise in Systems Engineering principles and practices, including systems development lifecycle understanding
- Knowledge of requirements management, systems architecture, integration, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
- An active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
