Job Summary
CAN WORK ANYWHERE IN THE US. ABSOLUTELY MUST BE A UNITED STATES RESIDENT.
We are looking to add another top tier transcriptionist to our team. Must be experienced in professional GENERAL transcription, accents, focus groups, (even though most of our work is US and interviews) slang. This is NOT an entry level position. There are occasionally we hire entry level. This is NOT one of those times.

We are looking for people who want to transcribe six to ten hours of AUDIO most weeks, which pans out to close to an eight hour week for most professionals (it would vary of course)
Please note that while medical transcription is a wonderful skill, and the vocabulary knowledge can certainly be helpful, we are specifically looking for people with GENERAL transcription experience . It is truly a different animal (surprisingly so).
We're currently ONLY looking for people who MOST weeks can do at LEAST 300-400 minutes of audio per week (or more!). We don't care which days, you can divide it up any way you want between all seven days. And we don't expect it to be every SINGLE week. And to be clear, we're also not guaranteeing we always have that much work, although we usually do. No promises on either side for every week, life ebbs and flows, and business is certainly feast and famine. But in general, we're looking for people who want to take on regular work. And we have incentives to do so. (obviously, the work still have to be impeccable)
Our transcripts get USED. They aren't just a box being checked. We work mostly with medical, academic and social research teams. We are part of a process that moves the world forward. That means we have a higher standard of accuracy than most general transcription companies. But we also do work you can be proud of. Your work will make a difference. We have the BEST team in the world.
We are a bit different (or we like to think so). The common business model for transcription companies, is to have large groups of nameless transcriptionists that no one really knows. We don't operate like that. We would rather have a smaller committed group of top people.

Responsibilities and Duties
General transcription of mostly academic, social and medical research.
We work with research institutions across the globe. This is work you can be PROUD you are a part of.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS (if you do not have these, your resume will NOT be considered, there are NO EXCEPTIONS)
-- This position will only be filled with an EXPERIENCED general transcriptionist, with exceptional accuracy, attention to detail and willingness to work as a part of an important team.
-- Transcriptionist must be looking to take on 6-8 hours of work per week, most weeks.
-- Please note that we are looking for applicants with GENERAL transcription experience. Again, medical transcription, while a wonderful skill, is truly a different animal.

Pay varies, but most of our Top Tier Transcriptionists make about 90 cents per audio minute. Full detailed layout of pay will be explained BEFORE you do the test file.
