Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Total Loss Settlement Adjuster will manage total loss claims, negotiate settlements with owners and lienholders, and ensure compliance with state regulations while maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Settle total loss claims and negotiate vehicle releases and fees
- Process paperwork for title transfers and salvage returns while mitigating associated expenses
- Maintain documentation of all interactions and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
Required qualifications
- Experience in completing total loss settlements with an insurance carrier
- 2-5 years of auto total loss settlement experience in the insurance industry
- Working knowledge of estimating platforms such as Mitchell UltraMate, CCC One, or Audatex
- Thorough understanding of automobile terminology and total loss evaluation processes
- Strong background in estimating and evaluating total losses, including UPD estimates and fraud detection
