Trade Compliance Attorney

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Trade Compliance Attorney with OFAC sanctions and EAR experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on U.S. export controls under the EAR and assess OFAC sanctions risks
• Classify software under the Commerce Control List and draft trade compliance-related contract provisions
• Support restricted party screening processes and enhance trade compliance policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Deep expertise in export controls and sanctions in a technology environment
• Experience with software, SaaS, cloud architecture, and emerging technologies such as AI
• Ability to provide practical, business-focused guidance in a fast-paced setting
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
