Seeking a part-time Trade Compliance Attorney, the successful candidate will independently manage complex U.S. customs matters, providing legal advice on investigations, enforcement, tariffs, and trade remedies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive legal advice on U.S. customs matters, including various compliance and tariff issues
- Managing customs investigations, enforcement matters, and prior disclosures before relevant agencies
- Advising on tariff-related initiatives and supporting ongoing customs matters
Required qualifications:
- Substantial experience practicing U.S. customs law and managing complex customs matters independently
- Strong background in customs investigations, enforcement, and related customs issues
- Experience advising on matters before U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other relevant agencies
- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction
