Job Summary
Seeking a Trade Compliance Counsel to support international trade compliance initiatives for a leading global manufacturing client, this full-time remote position will manage customs operations, oversee tariff execution, and provide guidance on U.S. and Mexican import/export regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead customs operations and international trade compliance initiatives across U.S. and Mexican manufacturing operations
- Oversee tariff execution activities, including tariff impact assessments and implementation strategies
- Develop, implement, and maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, and scalable compliance processes
Required qualifications:
- Proven experience leading international trade compliance or customs operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and Mexican import/export regulations, customs compliance, and cross-border trade requirements
- Demonstrated experience with HTS classification, customs broker oversight, and tariff execution
- Experience supporting Mexico import operations, including IMMEX/Maquila programs and customs broker controls
- Experience developing, implementing, or managing trade compliance programs, policies, and procedures
