Trade Compliance Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the development and operation of a trade compliance program, the remote Trade Compliance Specialist will manage classification, licensing, recordkeeping, and audits related to export controls for software and technology.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze software features for EAR or ITAR classification and determine correct ECCNs and related codes
• Prepare and collect information for end use/end user verifications, addressing any identified red flags
• Assist in technology analysis and support compliant software releases by collaborating with engineering teams

Required qualifications:

• 1-4 years of experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, or import/export operations
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as international trade or supply chain management
• Strong understanding of EAR, deemed exports, and Technology Control Plans
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with BIS license submissions and project management
