Job Summary
As a full-time Trade Surveillance Associate, the successful candidate will monitor trade activity, investigate potential violations, and enforce compliance with CDE's rulebook while working remotely and collaborating closely with the Chief Regulatory Officer and Market Regulation Department.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate potential trade practice violations, ensuring compliance with CDE's rulebook and applicable CFTC regulations
- Analyze alerts from the trade surveillance system, triaging and escalating matters as needed in partnership with leadership
- Produce investigative reports and deliver updates to stakeholders on trade activity in accordance with CDE rules and procedures
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in market and trade surveillance for regulated entities such as DCMs, DCOs, or exchanges
- Strong understanding of market fundamentals and derivatives trading practices, with the ability to apply CFTC regulations
- Proven ability to produce clear investigative memoranda and reports for various stakeholders, including regulators
- Experience managing multiple investigations and regulatory deadlines while ensuring accuracy and thoroughness
- Familiarity with utilizing generative AI responsibly to enhance workflow efficiency and output quality
